Line dancing or other dancing programs for seniors

Original post made by Anna on Aug 11, 2007

My mom is in town, and I want her to be here for a very long time... so, I need to keep her busy and interested in the city. She loves to dance, so, I need info about dance lessons for seniors here in Palo Alto. We live close to downtown, so it would be nice to find lessons nearby. My mom is 70 years-old. Thanks!

Check the Enjoy catalog first, then ask for info at senior centers like Lytton Gardens and the one on Charleston (Alver something).

Check out Single Squares of Sunnyvale, a square dance (and sometimes round and line dancing) club. A new class starts Tuesday, September 4, at Murphy Park Rec Center in Sunnyvale. Beginners at 7:00, intermediate at 8:30. Members are all single and range in age from 30 to 80. It's a good, lively group.
