Top-seeded Menlo School advanced to the finals of the Peninsula Athletic League boys’ water polo playoffs with a dominating 18-5 victory over Burlingame in a semifinal Friday at Menlo-Atherton High. The Knights (19-6) jumped to a 7-0 first-quarter lead and coasted from there. Junior John Holland-McCowan led Menlo with six goals while senior Chris Akin added 4. All told, nine Menlo players scored.
