Visiting Palo Alto easily rolled over host Mountain View, 42-12, in a SCVAL De Anza Division matchup on Friday. Mountain View's two scores were late in the game against Paly's backup defense team. The win puts the Vikings up 7-1-1 overall, and 4-0-1 in league. The Vikings maintain first place in the De Anza Division. A win next week against Wilcox will clinch a league title, while a loss could still produce a title pending the outcome of other games from tonight and next week. While the deadline to move up to the CCS Open Division has passed, the Vikings likely are headed back to the Medium School Division. Palo Alto is hoping to win its third CCS title in four years. The Vikings lost to Los Gatos in the Medium School finals last season.
