Getting eight goals from Hailey Smith and 17 saves from goalie Layla Allman, the Menlo School girls' water polo team advanced to the quarterfinals of the Peninsula Athletic League playoffs on Wednesday with a 14-4 victory over visiting Mercy-Burlingame.
