The Gunn boys’ water polo team rode a seven-point output from senior Alex Berenfeld to an 8-7 victory over host Monta Vista in a SCVAL De Anza Division match on Thursday night in Cupertino. The Titans (9-2, 14-4) pulled away from a tight 2-1 halftime lead and held an 8-2 lead in the final minutes before coach Scott Foster flooded the game with reserves, giving everyone a chance to play.
