The Paly's men's varsity team's extended post-season run came to an end this afternoon as they were defeated in overtime, 65-61, by James Logan High School of Union City in the CIF Northern California Division 1 Regional Championship game.
Junior Max Dorward led all Paly scorers with 17 points. He also pulled down 7 rebounds and made 2 assists.
Senior point guard Miles Tention scored 16 in his last game in a Viking's uniform, including three 3-pointers. He added 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
Junior Will Schlemmer scored 8, grabbed 3 rebounds, and made an assist.
Senior Jack Simison scored 7 in his last game as a Viking, including a bucket with 5 seconds remaining to force the overtime. He also added a rebound and an assist.
Junior Jared Wulbrun scored 6, including going a perfect 3-for-3 from the free throw line in the overtime period. He added 3 rebounds and an assist.
Junior Spencer Rojahn scored 3, and added 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.
Junior Bryant Jefferson scored 2 and grabbed 2 rebounds.
And senior Ethan Stern finished his final game as a Viking with 2 points, a rebound, and 2 steals.
James Logan goes on to play the winner of the Southern California Division 1 Regional Championship game this coming Friday in Sacramento.
