Olivia Tapia tallied a career-high 17 points and added four steals, two rebounds and two assists to pace the Gunn girls' basketball team to a 48-33 win over Scotts Valley in the opening round of the Pinewood Classic on Thursday in Los Altos Hills. The Titans (3-1) will face Presentation on Friday in the semifinals at 8 p.m. Zoe Zwerling added 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals for Gunn while Meghan Mahoney contributed eight points and seven rebounds with Sarah Klem pulling down nine rebounds. Gunn played without starter Claire Klausner, who was on a softball visit to Princeton.
