Pinewood opened its girls' basketball season with a 51-45 victory over Palo Alto in the opening round of the Pinewood Classic on Wednesday in Los Altos Hills. The Panthers will face Los Gatos, a 67-53 overtime winner over Mills, in a semifinal on Friday at 6:30 p.m., while Paly (1-3), which finished fourth at the Atascadero Tournament last weekend, will take on Mills on Friday at 3:30 p.m. The tourney title game is Saturday at 4:30 p.m. posted by Palo Alto Online on Dec 6, 2012 at 9:19 am
