Trailing by 18 points heading into the fourth quarter, Palo Alto made a game of it before finally falling to visiting Milpitas, 24-19, in a SCVAL De Anza Division opener for both teams on Friday night. Paly junior quarterback Keller Chryst threw four interceptions in the first half, one of which was returned 28 yards for a Milpitas touchdown. The Vikings (0-1, 2-2) trailed by 17-6 at the half and 24-6 entering the final quarter before rallying and getting to within 24-19 with 8:47 left to play.
