Shane Stafford threw a two-hitter and Brad Degnan had four hits and four RBIs as Ada's Cafe defeated Guy Plumbing 10-0 in the first round of the Palo Alto Babe Ruth City Championship. Stafford struck out six and did not allow a runner to reach third base in a game that ended in the bottom of the sixth inning on the mercy rule when Degnan hit a bases loaded triple and score on the same play on a wild relay throw.
