The Palo Alto girls' basketball team will have a chance to defend its Central Coast Section Division I title after upending No. 2 seed Wilcox, 45-33, in a semifinal game Wednesday night at Christopher High in Gilroy. The No. 3-seeded Vikings (19-4) will play No. 1 Gunn (18-6) for the championship on Saturday at Santa Clara University at 6 p.m. The Titans advanced with a 52-40 win over No. Santa Teresa. Paly beat Gunn in last year's section finale. Both teams have earned berths in the CIF NorCal playoffs that begin next week.
