Palo Alto maintained its hold on a share of first place in the SCVAL De Anza Division boys' basketball race with a 61-38 win over visiting Milpitas on Wednesday night. The Vikings (9-2, 19-4) were paced by juniors Aubrey Dawkins (21 points) and E.J. Floreal (14 points). The Vikings pulled away for good with a big third third quarter while Mathias Schmutz and Aldis Petriceks each nailed a trio of three-pointers.
