Palo Alto's shockingly unsuccessful boys' soccer season continued with a 4-0 loss to host Los Altos on Friday. The Vikings fell to 0-9-2 in the SCVAL De Anza Division and 0-15-4 overall. Third-place Los Altos (5-1-6) scored two first-half goals on just four shots on goal in the 10th and 20th minute. Paly had two opportunities and could not convert.
Paly picked it up in the second half with eight shots on goal and three one-on-one attempts with the Los Altos keeper. Despite several openings, the Vikings were not able to convert. Los Altos picked up two late goals as Paly continued to push offensively. Senior Omri Fried had a hat trick for Los Altos and junior Fernando Farias picked up the other score.
