Castilleja moved to within a victory of clinching the West Bay Athletic League (Skyline Division) regular-season title with a 45-30 victory over host King's Academy on Tuesday in Sunnyvale. The Gators (7-2, 12-11) can wrap things up with a victory at Mercy-Burlingame on Thursday. Freshman Madelyn Tarr scored 11 of her career-high 16 points in the second half, knocking down four 3-pointers while helping the Gators shoot 50 percent from three-point range. Lauren Rantz grabbed 13 rebounds while freshman Yasmeen Afifi pulled down 12. King's briefly took the lead with 2:30 left in the third quarter before Castilleja broke it open with a 14-0 run.
