The Gunn girls' basketball team has the best record in the SCVAL De Anza Division following a a 54-17 romp over visiting Milpitas on Tuesday night. The Titans are 8-2 (14-5 overall) with Wilcox and Palo Alto trailing at 7-2. Gunn, of course, has played one more game. All three teams, however, appear headed for a three-way tie for first place, with each team 1-1 against each other. Gunn, which still has to visit Lynbrook (6-3, 17-3) on Friday night, forced Milpitas into 36 turnovers. The Titans had 26 steals, with Julia Maggioncalda getting seven. Cat Perez, Claire Klauser and Zoe Zwerling combined for 33 points to pace Gunn.
