With junior Aubrey Dawkins pouring in 23 points, the Palo Alto boys' basketball team remained a game back of first-place Mountain View in the SCVAL De Anza Division race with a solid 69-53 victory over visiting Los Gatos on Friday night. The Vikings (4-1, 14-2) had a balanced scoring attack with Israel Hakim adding 14 points, E.J. Floreal scoring 12 and Aldis Petriceks finishing with 10 as Paly pulled away for good in the third period.
