In a battle between the SCVAL De Anza Division co-leaders, Palo Alto lost its first league game in two years following a 54-51 loss to unbeaten Wilcox on Friday in Santa Clara. The Vikings (2-1, 10-3) battled back from a nine-point halftime deficit and made a game of it as senior Emilee Osagiede made four 3-pointers and finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Her third trey got the Vikings to with 52-48 while her final three-pointer ended the game.
The league loss ended a 15-game winning streak, with the Chargers being the last team to beat Paly in the final division game of the 2010 season. Osagiede, Lindsay Black and Sam Borsos all played in that game.
