The Palo Alto girls' volleyball team avenged its only loss of last season and remained the team to beat in the SCVAL De Anza Division with a 25-21, 25-16, 25-22 victory over visiting Los Gatos on Thursday night. The Vikings (3-0, 16-3) were led by Melanie Wade's 18 kills and 15 kills from fellow senior Maddie Kuppe.
