Editorial: Consensus over new hospitals

Good editorial. I certainly hope that the City Council will approve this project very soon. It has lingered too long in the arduous and worthless Palo Alto Process. Fortunately Kishimoto, Drekmeier and Morton--the three notorious Stanford bashers are off the council, so approval should come soon. I am sure that we will still hear whining about "too much traffic" and the project "will destroy the character of Palo Alto" by those who have made a career of bashing Stanford, while enjoying the benefits that they provide to the city. As we know these whining, parrotted by others, are just a myth and can be ignored by the intelligent public. Obviously, as the editorial states, the benefits provided by the new medical center will be amazing.

Palo Alto is fortunate that Stanford didn't just disincorporate and restructure as an independent city. Palo Alto bought little to the wedding.

Svatoid........your comments are clueless and demonstrate the shortcomings of a democracy....it is only as strong as the least educated.

In this case, Stanford's special interests win out over the general public good.

Thanks, JD. We are in a democracy. I know sometimes people like you hate freedom of speech. IMHO, my comments are spot on. Too bad you feel that comments like mine should be censored.
Looking forward to having this project finally start.
