Dear Palo Alto Weekly ...

Regarding the "shrinking of our media", I was in Northern Europe this
past summer. A constant comment was, "What's going on with the media in America?" Our colleagues are afraid to speak their truths, due to the strange USA olicial climate. This referenced the super narrow level of information that we are allowed to hear ~ versus
the rest of the world, as was indicated in this Weekly piece.

So, maybe we need to wake up to what is narrowly broadcast here and in the rest of the world media markets. We're so far behind and we need to catch up so we can be a part of the world community towards peaceful processes.

One thing that we in the U.S. don't realize is that the news we are fed through the large media conglomerates is nothing more than national propaganda. We are very quick to criticize that other countries are fed "propaganda" but fail to see that we are the largest market in the world to absorb "propaganda" in the guise that it is the "truth".
