Public Agenda

CITY COUNCIL ... The council plans to appoint one new member to the Planning and Transportation Commission and to the Library Advisory Commission and two new members to the Architectural Review Board; and to incorporate the new Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation Plan into the city's Comprehensive Plan. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, in the Council Chambers at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).

BOARD OF EDUCATION ... The board will hear reports about student achievement on college admission measures, including SAT and AP test scores; on 2011 summer school; and from the citizens' oversight committee on the $378 million facilities bond passed in 2008; and discuss vacancies on the citizens' oversight committee for the school parcel tax. The public segment of the meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, in the board room of school district headquarters (25 Churchill Ave.).

PLANNING AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION ... The commission plans to hold a joint session with the Architectural Review Board and a study session to discuss the city's Capital Improvement Program Plan for fiscal years 2013-17. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 9, in the Council Chambers at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).

INFRASTRUCTURE BLUE RIBBON COMMITTEE ... The committee will continue its discussion of the city's infrastructure backlog and ways to pay for the items on the list. The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, at the Lucie Stern Community Center (1305 Middlefield Road).

HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION ... The commission plans to appoint new mediators to the Palo Alto Mediation Program and hear an update on the Human Services Resource Allocation Process. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, in the Council Conference Room at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).
