NEW CANTOR DIRECTOR ... Connie Wolf, director and CEO of the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco, has been chosen as the new director of Stanford University's Cantor Arts Center. She is scheduled to start on Jan. 1, 2012. Thomas K. Seligman, who has headed the Cantor since 1991, is retiring. Wolf, a Stanford graduate, has been at the Jewish Museum since 1999 and led its growth from a 2,500-square-foot building to a 63,000-square-foot museum, according to a press release. Previously, she was associate director for public programs and curator of education at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City.
