As a Long Beach life-long friend of Veronica Tincher, I would like to add my confirmation of her valuable contributions to the betterment of Long Beach including her participation in creating in the 1950s a local Friends of the Library -- a support group for Long Beach public libraries that is still going strong. Good going, Avenidas and Palo Alto in honoring her.
