Wonderful for Jim to receive this award!

It is wonderful to see Jim back among the living and receiving this richly deserved award.
His contributions to the city are extensive and, in my opinion, give Palo Alto what I would call "a warm and welcoming" ambiance rather than a "cold and impersonal" one. His vision for Palo Alto is one that deserves praise and support like the Tall Tree Award. We bless you, Jim and wish you continued good health.

The Chamber of Commerce is a primarily an association of developers and real estate people, and the bankers and lawyers who work with them. Their awards go primarily to those occupations.
They even gave an award to Stanford's chief developer, Jean McCown. Stanford developers are well represented on the Chamber.

How Ironic - Jim Baer profits by working the political underbelly, rezoning his properties to much higher values, and getting palo altans to pay for his profits.

This tells you something about the PA Weekly and their inability to understand public economic policy...........
