If the woman crossing the path of Rick Stultz's camera looks eerily like one of the numerous murals around Palo Alto, it's just the lighting. She's for real.

"I didn't think about it at the time," he said of the resemblance. "I was just looking at the composition and colors and so forth."

Stultz wandered downtown with his Nikon d100, looking for interesting light and design, and came across the building in the background. Intrigued with the lighting and shapes, he was pondering how to turn it into an interesting image when the woman in the walker came along. "I realized she fit in just right. So I waited until she got to just the right place and took the picture."

Stultz, 59, has been a Palo Alto resident for 30 years and is in commercial real estate management. He also does architectural photography.
