Brad Evans, a Woodside resident and longtime engineer with Texas
Instruments, picked up a camera one day "for the hell of
it," he said.
Oftentimes he traveled to San Francisco and shot photographs
of people on the street, trying to capture them going about their
daily activities.
On his way to the city one day, he caught sight of a woman violinist
playing Bach at the BART station. She would collect the coins
dropped to her by passing commuters, and would hand them to the
wheelchair-ridden man who sat and listened beside her.
"I've always enjoyed watching people in their environment,"
said Evans, who shot this particular image with a digital camera.
"I thought this photo was a nice depiction of irony."
Not planning to pursue a career in photography, he added that
he "does it for the love, as a hobby. Plus I can't paint."
