The 79th Annual May Fete Parade was held in Palo
Alto on Saturday, May 5 with the theme, "Stories, Fables
& Other Tall Tales". This parade for children featured
"literary inspired" marching bands, decorated floats,
stilt walkers, clowns, storybook characters, and thousands of
children marching, cycling, strolling and parading their pets
on University Avenue in downtown.

Peter Wing, dressed as Sgt. Pepper, pulls Heffalump Nursery's
yellow submarine. The sub won the parade's grand marshal's
award. |
