Police identify victim in Tuesday night shooting
|
| The San Mateo County coroner's office has identified Ricardo Zamora Salinas, 23, of Oakland, as the man killed in a triple-shooting Tuesday night in East Palo Alto.
Several gunman shot Salinas and two others as they were sitting in a sport utility vehicle parked in the 2700 block of Fordham Street, police said.
The SUV's driver was able to slam on the gas and flee the area. He drove to a McDonald's restaurant at University Avenue and Bay Road and called police.
East Palo Alto police officers and Menlo Park fire officials were dispatched to the McDonald's at around 9:50 p.m., according to Menlo Park Fire District Chief Harold Schapelhouman.
Salinas was pronounced dead at the scene and the other two were transported to Stanford Hospital, he said.
The gunmen are still at large and an investigation is ongoing, police said.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the shooting to call Detective Jeff Liu at 650-853-3131 or the East Palo Alto Police Anonymous Tip Line at 650-853-8477. — Bay City News Service Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.

Sounds like drugs and gangs again, like when EPA was the murder capital of US in the 90s.
I wonder if the recent incident at Bryant and 200 block of Tennyson was a spill over of these activities into to our town.

A lot of Palo Alto's crimes are committed by meth addicts, both from PA and outlying cities. Do your research before you make uninformed comments. Your NIMBY attitude is ignorant.
