As of 10:20 p.m., firefighters were developing a game plan for attacking the fire and had not yet put water on the building. Fire hoses connecting to hydrants blocks away were in the process of being connected.

Mutual aid fire units from neighboring cities are arriving at the scene.

There are so far no indications of any injuries in connection with the fire.

Walgreens closed at 9 p.m. tonight, prior to the outbreak of the fire.

All streets in the area, including University Ave. and Hamilton Ave. are closed and huge amounts of smoke fill the air.

A large number of people have gathered to watch the fire and the effort to put it out.

At 10:30, an unmanned automated fire nozzle began spraying water on the fire from the top of a ladder truck.

Flames are shooting 20 to 30 feet into the air from the rear of the building.
