• PALO ALTO PLANNING AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION . . . In a special meeting at 6:30 p.m., the commission will discuss the 2007-2012 proposed capital improvement program. The commission will then continue the public hearing and review of Alma Plaza -- a request for rezoning to a Planned Community (PC) district to build 39 single-family homes, 14 below-market-rate apartments and 24,000 square feet of retail/commercial space. The commission will also review the Stanford Medical Center Area Plan. The main meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, in the Council Chambers at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).
