Art: 'Public Discourse'
A free exhibit of works drawn from 30 years of Robert Dawson's photography career opens tomorrow, March 12, at the Thomas Welton Stanford Art Gallery on campus. Dawson is on the Stanford art faculty and is co-director of the Water in the West Project. His works have often depicted the Central Valley and water issues. The gallery is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 5. Go to art.stanford.edu.
Books: 'Grandmother Power'
Paola Gianturco will give a free author talk on her book "Grandmother Power: A Global Phenomenon" at 4:15 p.m. tomorrow, March 12, in the Bechtel International Center Assembly Room at 584 Capistrano Way, Stanford University.
