Theater: 'The Apple Never Falls'
Opening night is tomorrow, Feb. 22, for the new play "The Apple Never Falls," a hard-boiled 1960s Boston detective story by Bay Area playwright Paul Braverman. The Pear Avenue Theatre presents the play at 1220 Pear Ave., Unit K, starring artistic director and Palo Altan Diane Tasca. Show times are Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2, through March 10. Tickets are $10-$30. Go to thepear.org.

Exhibit: 'From Fiber to Fabric'
Palo Alto's Museum of American Heritage has opened a new exhibit tracing the history of U.S. textile production, including displays of vintage textiles, spinning wheels and sewing machines. Hands-on activities for younger visitors include weaving and the making of quilt blocks. The show is open Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug. 18, at 351 Homer Ave. downtown.
