Chiney Ogwumike delivered an encore performance fitting of the reigning Pac-12 Conference women's basketball Player of the Week. The Stanford junior played so well, in fact, she was named the Player of the Week for a second straight time and for the fifth time this season.

Ogwumike helped No. 4 Stanford complete a sweep of the Oregon schools Sunday with a career high of 32 points on 12-of-24 shooting. She also had 18 rebounds, one shy of matching her career best.

A national player of the year candidate, Ogwumike averaged 27.0 points and 15.5 rebounds while shooting 56.8 percent from the field, posting a double-double in both games.

She scored 22 points with 13 rebounds in Friday's 86-62 win at Oregon then followed with her career-best 32 points two days later in the Cardinal's 65-45 win at Oregon State, earning Stanford its 20th win of the year and keeping the Cardinal tied atop the Pac-12 table at 9-1.

Owgumike ranks fifth in the nation in scoring (22.4 ppg), seventh in rebounding (12.3 rpg) and seventh in field goal percentage (58.4). Her 17 double-doubles are the second-most in the country.

It is Ogwumike's eighth career player of the week honor and Stanford's 89th all-time. Her five selections tied the record set by USC's Cherie Nelson during the 1987-88 campaign.

The Cardinal is ranked fourth in the country in the AP poll again this week and will host Arizona on Friday at 7 p.m. followed by a Pac-12 Networks contest vs. Arizona State on Sunday at 4 p.m.

Stanford freshman driver Anna Yelizarova was named KAP 7 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Newcomer of the Week, the conference announced Monday evening.

Yelizarova, a LaSalle, Quebec, Canada native and member of the Canadian Senior National Team, scored 10 goals with a pair of hat tricks over Stanford's 3-0 run to its fourth straight Stanford Invitational title over the weekend.

She scored three times in Stanford's 8-5 title-game win over No. 3 UCLA Sunday and netted five goals in Saturday's 15-4 win over No. 8 San Jose State.

She added two more goals in Sunday morning's 11-2 win over No. 12 UC Davis.

On the year Yelizarova shares the team lead with 22 goals as Stanford has opened the campaign on an eight-game winning streak.

The Cardinal travels to Davis this Friday to take on the Aggies at 12 p.m.
