The Jordan Middle School girls' eighth-grade basketball team captured the Art David Athletic League (ADAL) "A" Level championships with a 56-31 win over Cunha of Half Moon Bay on Tuesday night at JLS Middle School.

This was the third straight undefeated championship season for the 2013 Jordan class, which finished its middle school career with a 40-0 record.

All eight players scored for Jordan with Georgia Hake pacing the team with 15. Julie Chandler scored 11, including three 3-point field goals. Jordan grabbed a 39-16 halftime lead and cruised to the title.

Other Jordan team members included Amelia Schmarzo, Dhara Yu,
Lauren Koyama, Tess Presing, Jacky Moore and Maya Lathi.

Also that night, the JLS girls' seventh-grade basketball team handed previously unbeaten Jordan a 56-50 loss in the championship game of the ADAL. JLS and Jordan both finished the season with 10-1 records.
