Film: 'Project Happiness'
A free screening of the 2011 documentary "Project Happiness," which explores the nature of happiness with the help of interviews with George Lucas, the Dalai Lama and others, is set for 7 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 5. The event will be in Herrin Hall, 393 Serra Mall, Stanford University. Cosponsored by CCARE (Stanford Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education) and the Vaden Student Health Center, the event will include a conversation after the screening. Talk: David Scheffer
David Scheffer, who was the U.S. Ambassador at Large for War Crimes Issues from 1997 through 2001, will give a free talk titled "Apprehension and Surrender Challenges for the International Criminal Court." The event is set for 5:30 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 5, in the Oksenberg Conference Room of Encina Hall, at 616 Serra St. at Stanford University. Scheffer is now a law professor and director of the Center for International Human Rights at Northwestern University.
