Poetry: 'City of Rivers'
Zubair Ahmed, a poet who also teaches mechanical engineering and creative writing at Stanford University, will appear at a free book launch for his new poetry collection, "City of Rivers," at 6 p.m. today, Jan. 10, at the Stanford Bookstore. Talk: 'Conversations on Compassion'
Photographer Lisa Kristine, who specializes in humanitarian topics in indigenous cultures, will give a free talk at 6 p.m. today, Jan. 10, at Cubberley Auditorium at Stanford University.
