Stanford junior Chiney Ogwumike was voted the Pac-12 Player of the Week, while Washington State's Lia Galdeira was selected the Pac-12 Freshman of the Week.

Ogwumike led the top-ranked Cardinal to a pair of road victories over ranked opponents last week.

She posted double-doubles in each win, averaging 21.0 points, 17.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocked shots per game, while shooting 48.6 percent from the field.

Ogwumike opened the week with 21 points and 15 boards with four blocks in a 53-49 win over No. 21 South Carolina. She came back to help Stanford win for just the second time in 13 games in Knoxville, scoring 21 points and grabbing a career-high 19 rebounds in the 73-60 win over No. 10 Tennessee.

It is the third time this year Ogwumike has been tabbed the Conference's player of the week. She leads the Pac-12 with a 21.8 scoring average and is second with 12.8 rebounds.

It is Ogwumike's fifth-career player of the week honor and Stanford's 87th all-time.

Stanford is at home this weekend, meeting No. 2 Connecticut on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPNU.
