Music: Jazz jam session
Jazz pianist Neil Adler "and friends" host a musical jam session from 7:30 to 10:30 tonight, Dec. 26, at the Menlo Hub. The restaurant and bar is at 1029 El Camino Real in Menlo Park. Adler, a longtime Menlo Park musician (and physical-therapy researcher) holds weekly jam sessions. Go to menlohub.com.

Film: 'Can't Help Singing'
The Stanford Theatre reopens after Christmas to resume its Deanna Durbin festival tonight, Dec. 26. "Can't Help Singing" (1944) shows at 7:30 p.m., and "Lady on a Train" (1945) is at 5:45 at 9:10. Both films run through Dec. 28 at 221 University Ave. in downtown Palo Alto. Tickets are $7 general and $5 for seniors and youth. Go to stanfordtheatre.org.

who was deanna durbin and who decides to schedule these movies at the Stanford Theatre? also, go to the clubs and activities in menlo park. what a horrible and poor holiday season. the wealthy can count their blessings while the underpriviledged can eat crow. what a time, what an economy and highlight the haves and have nots
