Music: Jazz jam session
Jazz pianist Neil Adler "and friends" host a musical jam session from 7:30 to 10:30 tonight, Dec. 26, at the Menlo Hub. The restaurant and bar is at 1029 El Camino Real in Menlo Park. Adler, a longtime Menlo Park musician (and physical-therapy researcher) holds weekly jam sessions. Go to menlohub.com.
Film: 'Can't Help Singing'
The Stanford Theatre reopens after Christmas to resume its Deanna Durbin festival tonight, Dec. 26. "Can't Help Singing" (1944) shows at 7:30 p.m., and "Lady on a Train" (1945) is at 5:45 at 9:10. Both films run through Dec. 28 at 221 University Ave. in downtown Palo Alto. Tickets are $7 general and $5 for seniors and youth.
