The 2013 Bank of the West Classic has received an early holiday gift as four-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova and 2011 US Open champ Sam Stosur both have committed to playing in next year's event.

With another strong player field in the making, the Bank of the West Classic once again will be the perfect place to see the world's best tennis, July 22-28 at Stanford's Taube Family Tennis Stadium.

In recognition of these two early commitments the Bank of the West Classic is offering a special holiday promotion. From December 11 until December 31, fans can purchase individual session tickets for the first and second rounds (sessions 1-8) of the 2013 event at 10 percent off the regular ticket price. Simply use the code HOLIDAY when placing your order.

This discount is good only for individual first- and second-round tickets and cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions. The discount does not apply to tournament packages.

The Bank of the West Classic, a WTA Premier event, is now in its 43rd year and features a 28-player singles draw as well as a 16-team doubles draw. The event is owned and operated by IMG and serves as the opening women's tournament of the Emirates Airline US Open Series.

The tournament boasts an impressive list of past champions including Serena Williams, Lindsay Davenport, Billie Jean King, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Andrea Jaeger, Monica Seles, Martina Hingis, Venus Williams and Kim Clijsters.
