Art: 'Cubanismo: American Photographers in Havana'
A new exhibition at Stanford Art Spaces shows the work of American photographers who have traveled to Cuba in the past few years and documented life there, under the auspices of Redwood City photographer Charles Anselmo. About 60 color photos are on display at Stanford's Center for Integrated Systems in the Paul G. Allen Building at 420 Via Palou Mall; the adjacent David Packard Building; and the psychology offices in Jordan Hall on the Quad. Exhibit hours are weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., through Jan. 17. Music: Faure's 'Requiem' and Mozart's 'Solemn Vespers'
The Stanford Symphonic Chorus and the Peninsula Symphony Orchestra perform tonight, Nov. 16, at 8 p.m., playing Faure's "Requiem" and Mozart's "Solemn Vespers." The concert is in Memorial Church on campus, and the groups are conducted by Stephen M. Sano and Mitchell Sardou Klein. Tickets are $20 general, $19 for seniors, $10 for non-Stanford students and free for Stanford students. The program will be repeated at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 18. Go to events.stanford.edu.
