Bookmark and Share
Menlo Park police are searching on foot and by helicopter for a man who crashed a stolen vehicle into a patrol car during a traffic stop Thursday afternoon, Nov. 1.

An officer attempted to stop the driver at about noon, but the man fled on foot after crashing the vehicle into another patrol car, police said.

A perimeter is set up in the areas of Carlton Avenue, Hamilton Avenue, Ivy Drive and Willow Road, where Menlo Park police officers are searching for the man with the help of East Bay Regional Park's helicopter. The San Mateo County Sheriff's Office and Palo Alto police are assisting in the manhunt.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, weighing 200 pounds and wearing a black or dark-colored sweatshirt and black pants.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact the Menlo Park Police Department main police line at 650-330-6300 or the anonymous tip line at 650-330-6395.
