Search for Walgreens robber continues
Police seek man in connection with Menlo Park crime

Bookmark and Share
It's not Halloween yet, but that didn't stop a man from donning a fake moustache before robbing a Walgreens in Menlo Park.

The man walked into the Santa Cruz Avenue store around 7:45 p.m. on Friday night, Oct. 19, and demanded money from a manager, according to police. After stuffing cash into a paper bag, he fled through the rear door. The robbery involved no weapon, witnesses said, and no one was hurt.

Police have yet to identify the suspect, described as a white male in his 40s with short dark hair, standing nearly 6 feet tall.

He wore a light hooded sweatshirt, green military-style jacket and dark pants. Completing the outfit were a blue baseball cap with multi-colored gloves, and of course, a moustache described in the report as "fake and costume like."

How much money did he get? Are the cops working on an artists sketch of the perp?

The man had no weapon? Why didnt manager fight back? If I was being robbed by robber with no weapon....just saying. Fight back people!

Excuse my trolling, but:

This sounds like Women's Wear Daily --

"Completing the outfit were a blue baseball cap with multi-colored gloves."

Do we give his style sense a thumbs up or a thumbs down?

Lennie, you're a comedian, right?

He stuffed the money into a paper bag--are the police checking Sierra Club membership lists?

Great replies!

I say "thumbs up" to his ensemble, though a burning question remains: what color were his shoes?!
