 | Freshman outside hitter Jordan Burgess recorded a season-high 19 kills and 19 digs as the fourth-ranked Stanford women's volleyball team remained undefeated in the Pac-12 Conference with a 25-23, 19-25, 28-26, 17-25, 16-14 victory over visiting UCLA, the defending NCAA champions, on Friday night.
The Cardinal (8-0, 16-2) complete the first half of the conference schedule with a visit to unbeaten and second-ranked Washington (8-0, 17-0) on Friday.
Stanford is 8-0 in conference play for the first time since opening 17-0 in 1998.

Freshman setter Madi Bugg recorded 32 assists, while senior setter Karissa Cook added 25, while sophomore libero Kyle Gilbert finished with a career high 25 digs.
The Bruins actually scored more points than Stanford, 113-105, as the Cardinal won each of its sets by the minimum two points, twice needing a little extra.
Wopat added six blocks and freshman Brittany Howard added nine kills and 21 digs.
The Cardinal sealed the victory with a 16-14 win in the fifth. Stanford fell behind early, trailing the Bruins 12-9. However a 4-0 run by the Cardinal, capped off by back-to-back kills from sophomore Morgan Boukather, gave Stanford the lead for good.
The Cardinal ended a two-game losing streak to UCLA. The Bruins had won four of the previous five meetings overall.
Stanford has won seven of its last nine meetings with the Huskies after splitting two matches last year.— Palo Alto Online Sports Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.
