Teens: Open-mic night

Theater: 'Distracted'
The Portola Valley Theatre Conservatory opens its production of the Lisa Loomer play "Distracted" tonight, Oct. 19, at 7:30 p.m. The show is about parents, a boy and a society consistently scattered and distracted by technology and the fast pace of modern life. Performances run through Oct. 28 on the campus of Valley Presbyterian Church, 945 Portola Road; tickets are $15-$40. Go to pvtc-ca.org.
