UCLA sophomore defender Abby Dahlkemper and Stanford sophomore forward Zach Batteer have received Player of the Week honors in women's and men's soccer from the Pac-12 Conference.

Batteer was honored as Offensive Player of the Week after his two-goal performance in a win over California. Dahlkemper, a Sacred Heart Prep grad and Menlo Park resident, was honored for her defense.

Dahlkemper anchored a UCLA defense that allowed one goal in victories over Oregon and Oregon State to take home Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

Dahlkemper and the Bruins limited Oregon to to just five total shots on Friday, only one of which came in the second half, and posted their eighth shutout in 13 games this season. Against Oregon State, Dahlkemper played strong defense to keep the Beavers at bay, helping UCLA to a 4-1 victory in Corvallis. The Bruins own a conference-leading 0.37 goals against average this season.

This is the second Pac-12 Player of the Week accolade this season for Dahlkemper. She is UCLA's 33rd all-time Player of the Week.

Batteer came off the bench in last Thursday's match at Cagan Stadium to score twice in Stanford's 2-0 victory. Batteer's initial goal came with just 18 seconds left in the first half on a cross from Dersu Abolfathi.

In the second half, Batteer put the game away in the 78th minute when he converted a cross from Bobby Edwards. Both of the goals were scored with his head.

Batteer now has totaled three goals in his past two games as he also scored in Stanford's 2-0 win over San Diego State.

Stanford heads out on the road for the first time in Pac-12 play this weekend. The Cardinal will face Oregon State on Friday at 7 p.m., and Washington on Sunday at noon (broadcast live on the Pac-12 Networks).
