Stanford will complete its stretch of six straight home games when it take on rival California on Thursday at 7 p.m. Both the Cardinal and the Bears currently sit at 1-1 in conference and hope to move back over .500 in Pac-12 play.

Stanford is coming off a big 2-0 win over San Diego State to improve to 4-5-0. Eric Verso scored just before the half to give Stanford a lead and Zach Batteer put the game away in the final minutes. Drew Hutchins earned his third shutout in goal and lowered his goals against average to 1.32.

Adam Jahn still leads Stanford with five goals and 12 points, which are both fourth in the Pac-12. He also leads the conference with 3.89 shots per game. Austin Meyer leads Stanford with three assists, which is tied for ninth in the Pac-12.

Cal enters the matchup with a record of 6-3-1, but like Stanford split with UCLA and San Diego State at home last weekend. Cal beat SDSU in overtime on Friday night, before losing 3-1 to UCLA on Sunday.

Kody Duff leads the Golden Bear offense with five goals, while Tony Salciccia has four goals and three assists. Kevin Peach leads the conference with 40 saves, while compiling a goals against average of 1.21.

Stanford leads the all-time series with Cal with a record of 26-21-8. The Cardinal won the last matchup, last year's season finale by a score of 3-0 and hasn't lost to Cal since 2010.

After Thursday's game, Stanford will head back out on the road for the first time in over a month. The Cardinal travel to the Northwest to face Oregon State and Washington on Oct. 12 and Oct. 14.

Your article on the soccer game states that "Kody Duff" is a CAL player and he is not. I think you meant Stephano Bonomo or Kule Lunt. You might want to check that out.

Sorry I mispelled Kyle as" Kule". It is Kyle Lunt.
