Community: 'Quakeville 2012'
The annual community earthquake-preparation event "Quakeville," a simulated disaster, happens from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Cubberley Community Center at 4000 Middlefield Road in Palo Alto. Residents will participate in drills and learn about such topics as evacuation and medical triage. To learn more and register for the event, go to paneighborhoods.org.

Community: Palo Alto Airport Day
The Palo Alto Airport will hold its free open house, Airport Day, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, with exhibits, tours and refreshments. Law enforcement and disaster-preparedness teams will also be on hand with equipment and information. Go to paloaltoairport.aero.

Music: 'Mozart on the Make'
Students from Stanford's September Studies Arts Intensive will give a free performance of the operatic play "Mozart on the Make," about the composer trying to write the overture to his "Magic Flute." The event begins at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at Toyon Hall, 455 Arguello Way, Stanford University. Go to events.stanford.edu.
