Police from Menlo Park and surrounding communities were on the hunt for a man about 6 feet tall who robbed a bank in downtown Menlo Park this afternoon.

A police dispatcher describing the incident said that the robbery involved the man jumping over the teller counter and putting money in a cloth bag.

The man, described as African American, fled from the bank and was last seen jumping into the trunk of a white Pontiac, police said.
