CITY COUNCIL ... The council plans to hold a joint meeting with the Parks and Recreation Commission; discuss a proposed planned-community project at 395 Page Mill Road and 3045 Park Boulevard that may involve a new public-safety building; and consider a colleagues' memo from Mayor Yiaway Yeh, Vice Mayor Greg Scharff and Councilman Larry Klein urging opposition to Measure C. The joint session will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 10, in the Council Conference Room. Regular meeting will follow in the Council Chambers at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.). View the agenda

COUNCIL POLICY AND SERVICES COMMITTEE ... The committee plans to hear the quarterly audit report from Office of the City Auditor; discuss the status of audit recommendations and discuss the city's economic development policy. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the Council Conference Room at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.). View the agenda

PLANNING AND TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION ... The commission plans to discuss the city's capital-improvement program; the proposed Transportation Citywide Survey, which is designed to collect comprehensive data on travel and transportation patterns in the city; and the San Francisquito Creek Joint Powers Authority's proposed initial flood-protection project. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12, in the Council Chambers at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.).

COUNCIL RAIL COMMITTEE ... The committee plans to hear an update on Caltrain's grade crossing and track analysis, consider possible revisions to the Rail Committee's guiding principles and discuss a press release updating the community on rail-related issues. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, in the Council Conference Room at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.). View the agenda

HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION ... The commission plans to review the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report, appoint mediators to the Palo Alto Mediation Program, and consider a resolution by Santa Clara County Move to Amend that corporations are not people and money is not speech. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, in the Council Conference Room at City Hall (250 Hamilton Ave.). View the agenda
