Music: Johnny Williams
Musician Johnny Williams will play original jazz and blues songs at 7 p.m. tonight, Sept. 4. The gig is at Morocco's Restaurant, 873 Castro St., Mountain View. Go to moroccosrestaurant.com.

Art: Jared Sines
Longtime fine and commercial artist Jared Sines is showing his oil paintings of California landscapes and water scenes this month at the Portola Art Gallery. Places depicted include Pacific Grove, Calif., and Ashland, Ore. The gallery is in the Allied Arts Guild at 75 Arbor Road in Menlo Park. Admission is free, and the gallery is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Go to portolaartgallery.com.
